Volunteers are the cornerstone of SAHT Inc.  As well as all committee members (who are volunteers), SAHT Inc estimates that between 60 and 65 volunteers are required to run a 2 day horse trial.  This includes volunteers for the following tasks

• cross country jump judges

• time keepers for cross country and showjumping

• marshalls for cross country course and showjumping

• commentators

• runners 

• dressage judges

• pencillers for dressage judges

• marshalls for dressage

• show jump course setters

• score recorders

• fence repairers

• technical delegate

And this is just for a 2 day event!  

Volunteers are also needed for regular Working Bees at the Tangari Park grounds to keep the grounds to the required standard.   Without volunteers, improvements such as fencing, new horse yards, maintenance of dressage arenas, commentators box, and judges boxes would not be possible.  And there are a number of new projects in the wings - so Volunteers are always welcome - contact the Secretary if you can help out at any time.
