Jump Judge Training Day
It was a great success, with over 25 people attending on 13 October 2019. Thanks to Tracie Leigh who did a wonderful job presenting the information, and answering many thoughtful questions from those involved. Helen McEwen was the most organised organiser, and Leigh Beissel and Jo Davis supplied the horsepowered demonstrations, showing how to and how not to, do it.

Judy Whyntie
Who can boast an association with Reynella HT for more than 45 years? Answer, Judy Whyntie, who was a founding member of SAHT, in 1972. (See History under About Us) The first Reynella Event was run in 1985, and Judy was instrumental in finding the land, organising the lease, and building the course. As a token of our respect and appreciation, Judy was presented with flowers, and the naming of the upgraded Commentary Box, as the Judy Whyntie Commentary Box. Here are some photos of the presentation award, with Michael Clarke and Bec Fidge (chairperson).

Helpers
Some important information for all events. Competitors supplying a helper for a working bee prior to the event, (approximately 200 volunteer hours required before event, and similar hours during the event) or on the days of competition, will not be charged the $10 Grounds levy.
SAHT has updated its competition entry to include a breakdown of charges and levies.
ENTRY FEE - $50 for each horse entry.
XC LEVY - cost to provide the XC course approx $7000 each event. Approximately $50 per horse/entry.
GROUNDS LEVY - separate to XC and includes all mowing, painting, upgrading facilities, hire of arenas, toilets, etc $10 per horse/entry.
MEDICAL LEVY - All veterinary and medical personnel for the whole event, as required by ESA and insurance purposes. $10 per horse/entry.
SHOWJUMPING/DRESSAGE PROFESSIONAL LEVY - SJ design and Dressage Judges - cost approx $2000 total, $10 per entry/horse.
ESA LEVY - required by ESA $13.50 .
